One thining that I have heard over the years is to live with no regrets. That is something that I aspire to live my life according to. That is way, in my 22 years, I have no regrets. Looking back on my past, I wish somethings would of turned out differently. The way that I look at, my past makes me the man that I am to this day. Now one question that I have been asked latley is "Why are you joining the Marine Corps?" Well, its quite simple actually.
When I get to be in my 50's or 60's, I dont want to look back and regret not joining the Marines. Every single person that I have talked to that were in the Marines, not a single one of them regreted it. Also, there is something special I have noticed that when I have talked to people that were in the Marines.
The thing that I noticed, mainly in my dad and Uncle Mike, is a certain unspoken streangth. Now, I realize that they grew up in different times then i did. But, that doesn't mean that my choice is any more right or wrong then their's was. Mainly, I dont want to look back and regret not joining. As things turn out, I may hate it or I may love it. In the end, at least I will know if the Marine Corps is the life for me. And thats all I gotta say about that.
